How to preview Snapchat texts without them disappearing

Snapchat is one of the three most popular social media apps that is used by almost everyone these days.

Snapchat was built keeping privacy and intimacy in chat in mind and the app still holds this idea as the topmost priority. In fact, even after all the years of its existence, you still cannot view a message on Snapchat by peeking/previewing it in the notification panel. This is very unlike WhatsApp and is often said to be one of its major distinguishing factors.

However, I have a method to work around this. Yes, you heard right - I will tell you how you can preview a chat you have received on snapchat without the sender ever knowing that you did!
Here’s how to do it:
  1. Open Snapchat and swipe right to go to the chats sections.
  2. Put your finger on the leftmost corner of the screen, right on top of the picture of the person whose chat you wish to read.
  3. Now, move your finger from the left edge to the right edge of the screen. Do this very slowly instead of swiping in one quick movement.
  4. Tadaaa… we’re done! You can now read everything that was written by the other user in that chat.
